Giorgio Moiso was born in Cairo Montenotte, Savona, Italy in 1942.
His first steps in the art world came about thanks to Carlo Leone Gallo where he learned his painting techniques.
Parallel to this, under the guidance of Gino Bocchino a jazz musician from Savona, Moiso began his studies as a drummer.
In 1975 he is invited to the Quadrennial of Rome and in 1998 his passion for jazz inspires him to make a decisive choice in his works, to make music talk through gestures, signs and colors and thus the birth of Live Performance Painting by Moiso.
It is this happy union between music and painting, the capacity to transform a jazz jam session into a painting jam session that uniquely characterizes his artistic achievement.
