Claudia Giraudo was born in Turin in 1974 where she currently lives and works.
After receiving her diploma from the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in 2001, her introspective study on the face as an intermediary began.
Putting to canvas the instant in which Dreams converge and abscond with Reality is Claudia Giraudo's current priority.
Using her personal experiences, Giraudo fills these experiences or knowledge, with her own original message very much in need of decoding.
It is as though the artist communicates through an unknown tongue thus the spectator must rely on his or her own personal knowledge and experience in order to translate the message.
By means of symbols, Giraudo seems to gently place her subjects on the canvas who, as messengers, appear ethereal, vanishing as if spirits of the air and within the air so thin and impalpable that they seem to liquefy.
Her characters are similar to actors, unaware of the role they play and seeming to move upon a backcloth animated by matter that is also oneiric.
Giraudo reminds us that we too are made of the same material as dreams and that our brief lifetimes are but enclosed within the space and time of a dream.
